About

About the Project:

THE CRIMSON COYOTE podcast is a conversation series that explores how personal and cultural wounds are mended through creative practices.

The rundown of the show is:

Part 1: A brief overview of my guest’s history

Part 2: A personal narrative related to circumstance or identity

Part 3: How their creative practice has contributed to their personal growth.

My aim is to demonstrate how the implementation of creative ideas are essential to our prevailing, or even healing, especially right now, when it seems like the whole world is imploding. I also want to do my part in building an egalitarian community, as well as a space for positive output.

The blog will feature episode and guest overviews, as well as a diary of personal musings: inspiration, travels, daily life, projects, and more.

About Jessie:

I currently reside in South Florida with a Chihuahua named Mortimer. I live on a lake that is primarily inhabited by egrets and massive iguanas.

I was born in Long Island, New York and lived there until I was 5. Then, we relocated to the palmy tropics of South Florida, where I spent my childhood and adolescence.

When I was 19, I moved to New York City to study theatre and experience all the wonders the metropolis has to offer. I also ventured into photography, shooting on behalf of Purple Fashion Magazine and many other publications.

I lived in Los Angeles, where I continued my creative pursuits and began to work in the non-profit sector.

I’m definitely a city girl at heart, but I also crave a strong dose of tranquil nature and solitude (I particularly love the mountains and forests).

Some ways in which I create meaning are through: writing, photography, journalism, curating, performing, researching, archiving, and educating.
